Last Chance To See Taylor Reinhold’s Art Exhibit
Just a reminder that talented artist — and my son — Taylor Reinhold has an art exhibit at the Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Company, on Pacific Ave. in downtown Santa Cruz. The exhibition runs through April 2nd, so this weekend is your last chance to view his graffiti-influenced and tribal-inspired animal paintings. I couldn’t be prouder and hope that you will check them out if you are in the Santa Cruz area.

Easter Tabletops
Easter is just a short time away. Are you already planning your table settings? For inspiration, take a look at this photo I snapped recently as Michele, the owner of T is for Table in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida was getting ready for the Vietri show. (Michele is very lovely herself, but she forbade me from posting her picture!) All these dishes shown are from Vietri, hand-crafted ceramic imported from Italy. My friends the Gravely Sisters — Susan and Frances — own the company and are based in Chapel Hill, NC. They are lively, fun and creative. Just like these table settings with perfect colors for Easter.

I’m Cupcake Crazy!
Every year I travel the country on what we call a trunk show tour. It’s a chance for me to meet Annieglass collectors and for you to see our newest designs. It’s always a lot of fun, but this year, I’ve decided to sweeten the pot. Rather than simply viewing the newest pieces of our tableware, attendees are invited to enter a ‘Cupcake Crazy’ bake-off in each location that I will judge!
I love meeting Annieglass collectors around the country. And I love the way sharing homemade treats brings people together. I thought to myself, what could be better than shopping AND eating? Cupcakes seemed the perfect fit: they’re small, cheerful and almost everyone has a recipe they’re proud of! So check out my schedule and come by when I am in your town with your favorite cupcake. Here are some photos from our recent event at Glass Bazaar in Louisville, Kentucky.
Don’t Miss Taylor Reinhold’s Art Exhibit!
If you are in the Santa Cruz area, be sure not to miss a great show by new artist Taylor Reinhold —my son— at the Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Company, Pacific Ave. in downtown Santa Cruz. The whole shop is full of his paintings, all the way to El Palomar.
Inspired by the plight of jungle animals, Taylor’s newest work marks a change to a more graphic, pared down intensity. Still combining graffiti and tribal elements, his animals seem to leap off the page. The show ends April 4 — go see it today!
My great grandfather in Italy (Taylor’s great, great grandfather) was a muralist. The family story is that he fell off a scaffold, broke his arm and it was set badly so that he was unable to work again. He spent his days painting and repainting murals inside his home. They say every square inch of wall space was covered in murals. Continuing the family tradition, Taylor is also a prolific muralist, click here - http://cts.vresp.com/c/?
Just Another Friday Night at the Annieglass Store
I took this picture outside the Annieglass store in Santa Cruz this past Friday night. This fiery performance was part of the GLOW Fire Festival and exhibit at our neighbors the Museum of Art and History. There were fire artists igniting the patio with a blazing wishing well, a piano that played musical flames, and a steel tree sculpture spiked with burning branches while fire dragonflies buzzed through the night. There were also fire sculptures and fire dancers. Very creative and exciting.
