I was one of Peter's roommates while we were students at SJSU. He was a psychology major at the time, but we were a house full of creative people. One of them, a photographer, took some very evocative and interesting photos of us as a group. (This WAS the early 70's after all!) I may have to blackmail Peter for some of his delightful glass pieces! Yes, I still have those black and white photos, Peter. Ha!

We are so excited to have Taylor as our First Friday artist in June, which will also coincide with our Grand Opening. We were very lucky to have such a talented artist (and our first choice) available for this!!!!

Any sort of fruity red works here. A cabernet, shiraz or merlot. You want to use a bottle of wine that is nice enough to drink on it's own, but nothing too expensive or complex since the additions are the focus here. It's also a great way to use a wine that you don't completely love on its own!

Parsnips are an under appreciated vegetable, I think. I will try this recipe. It is so simple, but it sounds delicious.
