ShoppingMarlana Walters, owner of Everyday Gourmet in Ridgeland, Mississippi, was such a gracious host at a cocktail party held at one of the 2 locations of this great store. It is adjacent to the Viking Appliance showroom and Cooking School. I poked my head into the showroom next door to do some shopping for my new kitchen …….NOT. But it’s always nice to dream!

This event was notable for another reason as well – it was the only tie in the Cupcake Crazy competition. Sisters Brooke & Laurie Alvis made Lemon Honey Cupcakes & Double Chocolate Cupcakes which were both so good. I could not decide between them.
