I had such an enjoyable time at Noble-Watts Jewelers which has been an institution in Canton, Miss. since 1948! See the photo of the original phone at the store below. Mr. Watts — or Daddy as everybody was calling him — still comes to work everyday at age 85 and keeps an eye on his kids who run the business. He started his jewelry store 65 years ago. He told me “You stirred up quite a fuss here”. Connie Morrow made the winning double layer strawberry cupcakes with coconut and pecans. I must admit that as a judge for the best cupcake, I may have been a little swayed by the handsome delivery man, Casey Stubbs, who brought his mother’s winning entry to Noble-Watts.
